Dress your best at NYFW with these 5 hottest fashion trends of 2017
New York Fashion Week guys and gals, it’s coming up soon (February 9), here’s a quick look at what we think will be the biggest fashion trends this year.
Gatsby pearls and fringes are back in a fun way
Pearls work anywhere, take it from these brands that know what they’re doing.
You didn’t think Great Gatsby bling could be subtle, but we’re seeing a lot of that in 2017 jewelry trends. Pearl earrings and necklaces, or dangling fringe earrings have been popping up on runways taking a bit of that wild Gatsby style into every-day wear. Check out our own Pearl Choker that combines the best of both trends.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em leggings are here to stay.
The world is Gigi's runway.
There’s been a love hate relationship with leggings since they first debuted, too casual they said, not real pants they said, well too bad! Wear those leggings because it’s quickly becoming a much-loved fashion trend again in 2017.
U and I for UNISEX
Unisex has been a growing trend, but we’re going to see it go full boss mode at fashion week. Androgyny is popular because it allows for a lack of gender or social norms. From Vivienne Westwood to Guess, unisex is the statement non-statement piece.
Let that inner artist out!
2017 is a great year to celebrate creativity. We’re about to see a lot of art references, art pieces, paint-like prints and other creative and fun patterns this NYFW. Time to bring out those DIY kits and get painting.
A little off the shoulder look.
Shoulders? What does that mean, more shoulders? Bedazzled shoulders? Shoulder pads? Let’s just say you’re going to see a lot more shoulders at NYFW. (Said shoulders so many times, now the word sounds weird). The newest recurring trend is showing a little shoulder as a slight nod to 80’s fashion trends. We’re loving this look because it’s casual, it’s hot, it keeps you warm but a little breezy too. Make it your own and let those shoulder hang out.
